Synopsis:
The film is like a puzzle with each piece representing a different life: A shoeshine boy named Duc, a Hanoi-sidewalk third-generation barber, an old teacher who teaches choirs of blind students, a female farmer who went to Hanoi and became a housemaid… They, along with many other pieces have depicted the life of ordinary Hanoians (before the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic). The film also shows changes in Hanoi amidst development as well as its give-and-take relationship with the adjacent rural areas. Life marches on, and kindness and concern for other people have always been the glue that makes everything firm and meaningful.
