Synopsis:
The consequences of Agent Orange/dioxin that the US army sprayed on the battlefields in southern Vietnam after the war were really heavy and serious. Agent Orange destroys not only the spirit and body of many Vietnamese generations, but also unbalances the ecological environment.
The film shows the great role of the Party, State, Army, domestic and foreign organizations in overcoming the consequences of Agent Orange/dioxin and the rise to assert self-worth of victims of chemical poisoning, simultaneously, the film condemns all the wars using toxic chemicals. In addition, the whole society’s cooperation, solidarity, help and sharing with the victims of Agent Orange/dioxin poisoning in order to be towards a peaceful and better future.
Director’s biography:
Director Nguyen Dieu Hoa graduated from Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema. She works in People›s Army Cinema. She used to work as a secretary for the feature films “Eye of the Sea”, “Chemical Earth”, a director of the documentary film “Green Sprouts and Fire” and a co-director of the documentary film “Agent Orange Pain”.
Director Nguyen Tu Duc graduated from Hanoi University of Theater and Cinema. He works in People’s Army Cinema. He used to be a secretary of feature film “Where we do not belong”, Deputy director of documentary film “Diary of Destiny”, “Faith” and a co-director of documentary film “Agent Orange Pain”.
