TÓM TẮT/SYNOPSIS:
Khi phát hiện chồng ngoại tình, một người phụ nữ bị thôi thúc bởi khát vọng trả thù. Vào một buổi tối tưởng như bình thường, cô quyết định giết chồng để lấy lại danh dự. Nhưng sau hành động ấy, cô trải qua những cảm xúc giằng xé và bất ngờ cảm nhận một thứ tự do chưa từng có. Biến cố dẫn cô đến một quyết định giải phóng bản thân, đồng thời buộc cô đối mặt với hệ quả không thể tránh khỏi từ những lựa chọn của mình.
When a woman discovers her husband’s infidelity, she is consumed by a desire for revenge. One seemingly ordinary evening, she decides to restore her honor by killing him. Afterward, conflicting emotions overwhelm her, alongside an unexpected sense of freedom. The ordeal transforms her and leads to a final act of liberation, but she must confront the unavoidable consequences of her choices.
ĐẠO DIỄN/DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY:
Nadine Asmar là đạo diễn người Li-băng, đồng sáng lập hãng MovieTailor Pictures tại Beirut năm 2018. Các phim ngắn của cô được lựa chọn và trao giải tại nhiều liên hoan phim quốc tế, trong đó có Interfilm Berlin và Liên hoan phim ngắn quốc tế Busan. Cô từng tham gia nhiều dự án điện ảnh, gồm The Insult và Capernaum. Năm 2023, cô nhận giải của Ủy ban Điện ảnh Busan tại Trường Điện ảnh châu Á Busan. Cô có bằng tiến sĩ nghiên cứu điện ảnh tại Đại học Western Brittany.
Nadine Asmar is a Lebanese director and co-founder of Beirut-based MovieTailor Pictures (2018). Her short films have screened and won awards internationally, including at Interfilm Berlin and the Busan International Short Film Festival. Her credits include work on acclaimed productions such as The Insult and Capernaum. She received the Busan Film Commission Award at Busan Asian Film School in 2023. She holds a PhD in Film Studies from the University of Western Brittany and continues developing new shorts, a series and her feature debut.
