TÓM TẮT/SYNOPSIS:
Cô giáo trẻ Juci cố gắng thay đổi những phương pháp giảng dạy lạc hậu tại trường học của mình, trong khi Palkó, một học sinh mới chuyển về từ nước ngoài, phải vật lộn để thích nghi với môi trường giáo dục khắt khe. Young teacher Juci tries to challenge the outdated teaching methods at her school, while Palkó, a new student recently relocated from abroad, struggles to adapt to a demanding educational system. Their intertwined experiences reveal the pressures of an oppressive school environment and reflect broader issues within Hungarian society.

Bálint Szimler sinh năm 1987 tại Hungary, lớn lên một thời gian ở New York và theo học Đại học Sân khấu và Điện ảnh tại Budapest dưới sự hướng dẫn của đạo diễn Ildikó Enyedi. Phim ngắn Here I Am của ông đoạt giải tại Tuần phim Hungary, được tuyển chọn vào Cinéfondation của Cannes và nhận đề cử Giải phim ngắn của Viện Hàn lâm Điện ảnh châu Âu. Ông thực hiện dự án âm nhạc Kodály Method và phim tài liệu Balaton Method (2015). Lesson Learned (2024), phim truyện đầu tay, giành giải diễn xuất và bằng khen đặc biệt tại Locarno.
Bálint Szimler was born in Hungary in 1987 and spent part of his childhood in New York. He studied film directing in Budapest under Ildikó Enyedi. His short film Here I Am won at Hungarian Film Week, screened in Cannes’ Cinéfondation and was nominated for a European Film Academy short-film award. He developed the music project Kodály Method and the feature music documentary Balaton Method (2015). His fiction feature debut, Lesson Learned (2024), received a Best Performance award and Special Mention at the Locarno Film Festival.
