TÓM TẮT/SYNOPSIS:

Rwanda, 2012. In the years following the Genocide against the Tutsi, community-led trials for justice and reconciliation continue across the country. Vénéranda, a survivor, leads dialogue between victims and the families of perpetrators, helping others rebuild their lives and look towards the future. But when she learns of her daughter’s unexpected pregnancy, she is forced to confront the limits of her own convictions.

Marie-Clémentine Dusabejambo là đạo diễn, biên kịch người Rwanda, hiện sống và làm việc tại Kigali. Bà bắt đầu làm phim từ năm 2008 và giành giải cuộc thi biên kịch của Tribeca Film Institute năm 2010. Phim ngắn đầu tay Lyiza (2011) ra mắt tại Liên hoan phim Tribeca và đoạt giải Bronze Tanit tại Liên hoan phim Carthage năm 2012. Các phim ngắn tiếp theo của bà gồm A Place for Myself và Icyasha. Marie-Clémentine Dusabejambo is a Rwandan writer-director based in Kigali. She began filmmaking in 2008 and won a Tribeca Film Institute screenwriting competition in 2010. Her debut short, Lyiza (2011), premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and won the Bronze Tanit at the 2012 Carthage Film Festival. Her subsequent shorts include A Place for Myself and Icyasha. Ben’Imana (2026) is her debut feature film.
