TÓM TẮT/SYNOPSIS:
Sau chiến tranh, một người lính trẻ trở về một nhà ga kỳ lạ, quyết tâm thực hiện lời cầu hôn đã hứa từ lâu. Nhưng khi một con chim thần thoại lấy mất chiếc nhẫn đính hôn, anh bị cuốn vào hành trình siêu thực qua ký ức và những câu chuyện dân gian Việt Nam. Đuổi theo con chim, anh trở lại nhà ga nơi từng chia tay người yêu và đối diện sự thật đau lòng rằng mình đã không thể trở về nhà. Ở khoảnh khắc cuối cùng vượt ngoài sự sống và thời gian, anh rốt cuộc cũng có thể ngỏ lời cầu hôn người mình yêu.
After returning from war, a young soldier arrives at a strange train station, determined to fulfill a long-promised proposal. But when a mythical bird steals his engagement ring, he is drawn into a surreal journey through memories and Vietnamese folklore. Chasing the bird leads him back to the station where he once parted from his beloved and to the heartbreaking truth that he never made it home. In one final moment beyond life and time, the soldier is finally able to propose to the one he loves at last.
ĐẠO DIỄN/DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY:
Đoàn Anh Kiệt là đạo diễn hoạt hình Việt Nam và đồng sáng lập DeeDee Animation Studio. Anh đoạt giải Đạo diễn xuất sắc tại Liên hoan Phim Việt Nam năm 2025 với phim “Trở về”; trước đó nhận giải Họa sĩ xuất sắc tại Giải Cánh diều cho “Broken Being: Prequel” (2020) và giải Nhì hoạt hình tại FY Film Festival 2017 với “Awaken”. “Broken Being: Prequel” còn đoạt giải Phim 2D xuất sắc tại Khem Animation Film Festival (Hoa Kỳ) và Phim hoạt hình ngắn xuất sắc tại Bloodstained Indie Film Festival (Nhật Bản) năm 2019.
Doan Anh Kiet is a Vietnamese animation director and co-founder of DeeDee Animation Studio. He won Best Director at the 2025 Vietnam Film Festival for “Home Again”, the Best Artist Award at the Golden Kite Awards for “Broken Being: Prequel” (2020), and Second Prize for Animation at the 2017 FY Film Festival for “Awaken”. Internationally, “Broken Being: Prequel” received Best 2D Film at the Khem Animation Film Festival in the United States and Best Animation Short at the Bloodstained Indie Film Festival in Japan in 2019.
