TÓM TẮT/SYNOPSIS:
Một nữ thần hộ mệnh từng bảo vệ một rạp chiếu phim bị bỏ hoang lang thang qua những cảnh quan đang biến đổi nhanh chóng để tìm đường tái sinh. Choáng váng trước sự tàn khốc của thế giới, cô phải quyết định liệu có trở thành con người một lần nữa hay tiếp tục là một hồn ma không nơi nương tựa.
An abandoned cinema’s former spirit guardian wanders through rapidly transformed landscapes to reach her rebirth. Shocked by the world’s brutality, she must decide whether to become human again or remain a homeless ghost.

Polen Ly (sinh năm 1989 tại tỉnh Kandal, Campuchia) là nhà làm phim tự học, quan tâm đến các vấn đề xã hội và thiên nhiên. Phim ngắn Further and Further Away (2022) của ông ra mắt tại Berlinale Shorts; phim tài liệu Side by Side đoạt Giải Ban giám khảo trẻ tại Locarno Open Doors năm 2021. Phim tài liệu dài Until the Orchid Blooms (2024) được giới thiệu tại IDFA. Becoming Human là phim truyện dài đầu tay của ông, ra mắt tại Liên hoan phim Venice năm 2025.
Polen Ly (born in 1989 in Kandal province, Cambodia) is a self-taught filmmaker whose work explores social issues and nature. His short film Further and Further Away premiered at Berlinale Shorts in 2022, while Side by Side won the Youth Jury Prize at Locarno Open Doors in 2021. His feature documentary Until the Orchid Blooms premiered at IDFA in 2024. Becoming Human is his debut fiction feature and premiered at the 2025 Venice International Film Festival.
