TÓM TẮT/SYNOPSIS:
Eliza làm việc tại một khu nghỉ dưỡng, liên tục đảm nhận những vai trò nhằm làm hài lòng khách lưu trú. Phía sau vẻ ngoài chỉn chu của khách sạn, cô phải xoay xở với cuộc sống riêng ít ai nhìn thấy, trong khi bản thân không thể mỉm cười. Giữa một thế giới ám ảnh bởi thái độ tích cực đến mức độc hại, Eliza phải lựa chọn: thay đổi để hòa nhập hay giữ nguyên con người thật của mình.
Eliza works at a hotel resort, moving through a cycle of roles designed to keep guests satisfied. Behind the hotel’s polished surface, she struggles to balance an unseen private life while being physically unable to smile. In a world obsessed with toxic positivity, she must choose whether to change herself to fit in or resist by remaining who she is.

Alexandra Matheou là nhà biên kịch, đạo diễn và người sáng lập hãng phim This Is The Girl Films tại Síp (2019). Phim ngắn A Summer Place (2021) của bà được trình chiếu tại nhiều liên hoan phim quốc tế và được đề cử giải Phim ngắn xuất sắc của Viện Hàn lâm Điện ảnh Hy Lạp. Free Eliza (2026) ra mắt thế giới tại chương trình Directors’ Fortnight, Liên hoan phim Cannes.
Alexandra Matheou is a screenwriter, director and founder of Cyprus-based production company This Is The Girl Films (2019). Her short film A Summer Place (2021) screened at international festivals and was nominated for Best Short Film at the Hellenic Film Academy Awards. Free Eliza (2026) had its world premiere at Cannes Directors’ Fortnight.
