Synopsis:
In 1010, King Ly Thai To moved the capital from Hoa Lu to Thang Long. The King ordered the construction of a citadel as the foundation for the capital, from which he could rule the nation. Despite the combined efforts of the King, soldiers, and people, the citadel repeatedly collapsed. The King was greatly worried and anxious. One night, he dreamed of the White Horse deity, the guardian spirit of Thang Long, who protected the eastern side of the four defenses of the city. The deity instructed the King on how to construct the citadel, and from then on, the citadel stood firm for a thousand years.
Director’s biography:
People’s Artist, Director Pham Ngoc Tuan, born in 1964, graduated from Hanoi Academy of Theater and Cinema. He has been working for Vietnam Animation Joint Stock Company since 1995 and currently serves as the company’s General Director.
