Synopsis:

The Khmer people in Van Giao commune, Tinh Bien district, An Giang province, weave brocade using their own silk material, which is all unique from the processing of the silk to the patterns on the fabric. A notable example is Ms. Chanh Ty, who not only excels in this craft but also teaches the younger generations to preserve and promote Khmer identity as they integrate into today’s market.

Director Phan Minh Sơn, born in 1965 in Mo Cay district, Ben Tre province, Vietnam, graduated from the Faculty of Literature and Journalism at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Ho Chi Minh City and the Directing Faculty at the Hanoi Academy of Theatre and Cinema.
