Synopsis:
Ca Tru is an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, a genre of poetic singing and chamber music characteristic of Vietnamese culture. The film showcases the history of Ca Trù art through various dynasties, exploring its origins, reasons for its development and decline, and providing knowledge to the audience about the beauty and value of Ca Trù, which includes the genres of “Court Dance Singing,” “Village Communal House Singing,” and “Singing in Tea Houses.” This is a traditional cultural aspect of the Vietnamese people.
Director’s biography:
Director and People’s Artist Viet Huong has won 14 awards as a screenwriter and director, including 7 Gold and 7 Silver prizes at national television festivals, the Golden Kite Awards, and the Vietnam Film Festival. She worked at the Vietnam Television Network and is now retired.
