Synopsis:

After his sister-in-law dies in a freak motorcycle accident in Saigon, Thien is bestowed the task of delivering her body to their hometown in the countryside, accompanied by his 5-year-old nephew Dao, who miraculously survived the crash. Amidst the mystical landscapes of rural Vietnam, Thien begins a search for his older brother, who vanished years ago, to hand Dao over to him – a journey which causes him to deeply question his faith.

Director’s biography:

Đạo Diễn Phạm Thiên ÂnDirector Pham Thien An, born in 1989, hails from Lam Dong, Vietnam. He previously lived and made films in Ho Chi Minh City and now resides in the United States with his family. In 2018, his short film “The Mute” premiered at the Palm Spring International Short Film Festival in the U.S. In 2019, he attended the Cannes Film Festival in France for the first time and won the Director’s Fortnight award with his short film “Stay Awake, Be Ready”.
