Synopsis:
“Hong Ha Lady of Letters” is a poetic love story between the artist Doan Thi Diem and the famous poet Dang Tran Con. Doan Thi Diem, nicknamed Hong Ha Lady of Letters, is from Hung Yen, is the author of many collections of poetry in Chinese and Nom, the most prominent of which is the translation of Dang Tran Con’s “The Lament of a Soldier’s Wife” from Chinese into Vietnamese.
Director’s biography:
Meritorious Artist Nguyen Duc Viet graduated from the Cinematography Department of Hanoi Academy of Theater and Cinema in 1987. He was the cinematographer of many films of Vietnam Feature Film Studio such as: “The Vase of Past Lives” (1990), “Chasing the Ice and Wind Demons” (1992), “The Unknown Eucalyptus Tree” (1995), “Tears of Opening Time” (1996), “Broken Gap” (1997), “Sandy Life” (1999), “King landfill” (2001), Dien Bien Memories (2004)… Since 2006, he has been the Director of feature films: I want to be famous (2007), Children of the Village (2010), Borderline (2017), TV series Drunkenness (2010).
