Distinguished delegates and guests. Ladies and Gentlemen, It is a great pleasure for Ha Noi to welcome distinguished delegates and guests representing noble international film industries, and famous artists to attend the 6th Ha Noi International Film Festival 2022. On behalf of the leaders and people of Ha Noi, I would like to extend my warmest greetings to honorable artists, directors, actors and actresses; local and international reporters and all of you to this significant cultural event.

After five successive festivals, Ha Noi International Film Festival has gradually identified itself as a prestigious brand and become the biggest international film festival in Viet Nam. It is not only a platform for talented film-makers and artists to gather and prizes to be awarded, but also a chance to spread the professional enthusiasm, seek cooperation opportunities, expand the Vietnamese cinema market and contribute to promoting images of Viet Nam and Ha Noi, a safe and friendly city.

The capital of Ha Noi is proud to welcome you, excellent film artists, directors, actors and actresses from 56 countries and territories worldwide to the Film Festival. With the slogan “Cinema for Humanities, Adaptability and Development”, I do believe that the 6th Ha Noi International Film Festival 2022 will continue to promote the spirit of humanity and cooperation among professional film-makers and honor excellent cinema works of high artistic value, creativity, full of humanity, and at the same time, encourage new talents of the world’s cinema. The Festival will also be an opportunities for Vietnamese cinema to expand and integrate with regional and global market.

Ha Noi, a 1,012 year-old city with the civilized and heroic history, a peaceful and dynamic capital, is now gradually developing. It is my belief that Ha Noi – the Capital of Viet Nam, the only city in the Asia-Pacific region recognized by UNESCO as the “City for Peace”, also a UNESCO’s “Creative City in Design”, as well as a green and friendly city, will continue to appear in upcoming
cinema works.

Ha Noi will create the most favorable conditions for the success of the 6th Ha Noi International Film Festival 2022, a meaningful cultural event held in the beautiful autumn days in Ha Noi.
