THE FIRST HANOI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
1. Date:<\/strong> October 17-21, 2010<\/span>\r\n2. Location:<\/strong> The Capital of Hanoi, Viet Nam.<\/span>\r\n3. Guests:<\/strong> 500 delegates, including world-famous cinematographers, artists, and actors; 140 foreign guests; and 30 People's Artists of Vietnam Cinema.<\/span>\r\n4. Purpose:<\/strong><\/span>\r\n- The 1st Vietnam International Film Festival-Hanoi, 2010 was one of the many activities aimed at celebrating the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi.<\/span>\r\n- The festival aimed to celebrate Asian cinema, promote cultural exchanges and foster further development cooperation between regional and international filmmakers through the showcase of the latest films by talented directors, especially those from Southeast Asian countries.<\/span>\r\n- The festival also aimed to build a new film festival brand and affirm the position and integration trend of Vietnamese cinema in international cinematography and attract the attention of world filmmakers to Vietnamese cinema, within the strongly renewing and developing country of Vietnam.<\/span>\r\n5. Films participating:<\/strong> The Organizing Committee received 96 films from 30 countries.<\/span>\r\n6. Competition:<\/strong> 10 Feature-length Films and 12 Documentaries and Short Films.<\/span>\r\n7. Award:<\/strong><\/span>\r\n- Best Feature-length Film: Sandcastle (Singapore).<\/span>\r\n- Best Director: Boo Junfeng (Singapore).<\/span>\r\n- Best Actor: Ah Nin (Malaysia).<\/span>\r\n- Best Actress: Nhat Kim Anh (Vietnam) and Fiona Sit (Hong Kong)<\/span>\r\n- Best Documentary - Best Short Film: Always Beside You (Vietnam)<\/span><\/pre>\n

THE SECOND HANOI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
1. Date:<\/strong> November 25-29, 2012.<\/span>\r\n2. Location:<\/strong> The Capital of Hanoi, Viet Nam.<\/span>\r\n3. Guests:<\/strong> More than 1000 delegates and guests, including film activists, artists, and national and international actors, attended the event.<\/span>\r\n4. Purpose:<\/strong><\/span>\r\n- With the slogan \"Asia-Pacific cinema unites and develops\", the Hanoi International Film Festival created momentum for the integration of Vietnamese cinema through regional cohesion to expand to the world stage.<\/span>\r\n- The film festival is strongly committed to promoting Vietnamese cinema to international friends; encouraging new talents in cinema in Vietnam, other countries, and regions; and encouraging exchange and learning among cinema around the world.<\/span>\r\n5. Films participating:<\/strong> more than 200 films from 38 countries and territories in the Asia-Pacific region were attended, and 116 films were selected by the Organizing Committee.<\/span>\r\n6. Competition:<\/strong> 14 Feature-length Films, 13 Short Films, 5 Short Documentaries, and 5 Animated Films.<\/span>\r\n7. Awards:<\/strong><\/span>\r\n- Best Feature Film: Shackled (Philippines).<\/span>\r\n- Best Director: Reis \u00c7elik - Night of Silence (Turkey), Iskandar Usmonov \u2013 The Telegram (Tajikistan)\".<\/span>\r\n- Best Leading Actor: Ilyas Salman - Night of Silence (Turkey).<\/span>\r\n- Best Leading Actress: Ying Yaning - Song of Silence (China)<\/span>\r\n- Special Jury Prize for Feature Film: Blood Letter (Vietnam).<\/span>\r\n- Best Short Film: Starting From A - B.W. THE THIRD HANOI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
1. Date:<\/strong> November 23-27, 2014.<\/span>\r\n2. Location:<\/strong> The Capital of Hanoi, Viet Nam.<\/span>\r\n3. Guests:<\/strong> More than 1000 delegates, artists, national and international actors, including approximately 150 delegates, and foreign guests from many countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, Philippines, China, Japan, Indonesia, and others.<\/span>\r\n4. Purpose:<\/strong><\/span>\r\n- The 3rd Hanoi International Film Festival, with the slogan \"Cinema \u2013 Integration and Sustainable Development\", honored outstanding cinematography, which is rich in humanity and has a creative flair, while encouraging new talents from the film industry, especially in the Asia-Pacific region.<\/span>\r\n- Hanoi International Film Festival introduces excellent cinematographic works from international film industries.<\/span>\r\n- Hanoi International Film Festival promotes the cordial spirit, the sharing among filmmakers, delegates, and guests from the cinema world with the aim of cooperation and development<\/span>\r\n5. Films participating:<\/strong> The Organizing Committee selected 130 films from 32 countries and territories to participate in the competition.<\/span>\r\n6. Competition:<\/strong> 12 Feature-length Films, 31 Short Films, and 10 Films for Netpac.<\/span>\r\n7. THE FOURTH HANOI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
1. Date:<\/strong> November 1 - 5, 2016<\/span>\r\n2. Location:<\/strong> The Capital of Hanoi, Viet Nam.<\/span>\r\n3. Guests:<\/strong> 200 regional and international guests.<\/span>\r\n4. Purpose:<\/strong><\/span>\r\n- The 4th Hanoi International Film Festival, with the slogan \"Cinema \u2013 Integration, and Sustainable Development\", was an opportunity to promote the country and people of Vietnam, especially by introducing local filming locations to international filmmakers. <\/span>\r\n- The Film Festival created new vitality and impetus for the development of Vietnamese cinema; made an important contribution to promoting the image of a beautiful, stable, and hospitable Vietnam through the image of The Capital of Hanoi - a city for peace.<\/span>\r\n5. Films participating:<\/strong> 550 films are registered to participate, including over 300 feature-length films and over 200 short films from more than 40 countries and regions. The Organizing Committee has selected 146 films from 43 countries..<\/span>\r\n6. Competition:<\/strong> 12 Feath-length films and 30 Short Films<\/span>\r\n7. THE FIFTH HANOI INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n
1. Date:<\/strong> October 27-31, 2018<\/span>\r\n2. Location:<\/strong> The Capital of Hanoi, Vietnam.<\/span>\r\n3. Guests:<\/strong> More than 1,200 delegates and guests are movie artists, film producers, and actors. <\/span>\r\n4. Purpose:<\/strong><\/span>\r\n- The 5th Hanoi International Film Festival, with the slogan \"Cinema - Integration and Sustainable Development\" honored outstanding cinematic works that are rich in humanity and possess creative flair, and encouraged new talents from the film industry.<\/span>\r\n- The Film Festival promoted the cordial spirit and the sharing among filmmakers, delegates, guests, and audience responses from the cinema world with the aim of sustainable cinema development.<\/span>\r\n- The festival also attracted the public's interest in cinema, creating new vitality and motivation for the development of Vietnamese cinema; creating opportunities to expand the Vietnamese film market to the region and the world; while also contributing to promoting the image of the country of Vietnam.<\/span>\r\n5. Films participating:<\/strong> After two rounds of selection, the Organizing Committee selected 147 films from 45 countries and territories to participate in the festival programs. <\/span>\r\n6.
