Vietnam is an S-shaped country with long, beautiful coastline in Southeast Asia. In addition, Vietnam is home to many scenic sites recognized by UNESCO as a natural heritage of the world and also has a unique regional cultural space.
These are precious materials for filmmakers to exploit and develop. The beautiful frames, beautiful natural scenes of different regions of Vietnam in the film have always created magical attraction to the audience and contributed to promote tourism of the country.
Many famous, beautiful places of Vietnam has been selected by Vietnamese filmmakers as background, making impressive scenes to the audience. From the North to the Central and the South - each place has its own unique features for filmmakers to exploit.
In the North, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh Province, Dong Van Stone Plateau (Ha Giang Province), the northern village... have been exploited in the film: Indochine,  Story of Pao, Blood Letter,  Kong: Skull Island, Ben khong chong ...
In Story of Pao (Director Ngo Quang Hai), the audience was immersed in the yellow color of flowers on the ridge of the Northwest. Natural space, culture of the highland of Vietnam when shown through a camera view of a foreign artist suddenly becomes so beautiful that it surprises everybody.
Still, the scenery of the majestic mountains and forests, the field of flowers, highland markets but through fine cinematography, the artists have created beautiful images, rich in emotions that hardly any films get.

Or in Blood Letter (Director Victor Vu), there are many excellent footages strongly marked in the minds of viewers. Majestic mountains view in the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex (Ninh Binh), White Storks on sky, golden rice fields along with the river winding have overwhelmed the audience.
All the natural scenery to the unique ancient architectural like Hoa Lu ancient capital, Tam Coc - Bich Dong ... the wild and majestic beauty’s reproduced vividly to create beautiful fanciful frames like elysium.
Kong: Skull Island has chosen Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh Province) - one of UNESSCO recognized as world natural heritage sites to film all the scene on sea.
Producer Alex Garcia said, "Being filmed in Vietnam with beautiful natural scenes is a great privilege for the film crew."
Previously, Ha Long also appeared in blockbuster Hollywood Pan and many other films. Indochine directed by Régis Wargnier premiered in 1992, set in Vietnam during the French colonial period. With the beautiful scenery of Ha Long Bay, the movie won the Oscars award. That have made the number of European tourists, especially French tourists to Vietnam increased unexpectedly.
In the sunny and windy central part of Vietnam, one of the beautiful images of Hang En Cave in Quang Binh province was shown in Hollywood Pan. Under the lens, the cave became magical and fanciful like a part of true fairyland.
Next is Ninh Thuan province with majestic natural scenery, pristine deserts, sand dunes stretching, combining impressive angles from the American director of photography (DOP) - Joel Spezeski, Paradise in heart had many magnificent scenes that meet the audience’s expectations .

The film has shocked the audience by the poetic and imposing frames depicting the scenery of Phu Yen village with golden rice fields swirling in the wind, blue jade of sea with the ship quietly drifts, creeks, streams with buffalos wading through or the rugged coastal ...

The South is also exploited in many movies. In The Floating Lives (directed by Nguyen Phan Quang Binh) - one of the most recognized Vietnamese films not only in the country but also internationally. The film is set in the southwestern region of the river with Cai Rang floating market and the vast rice fields with yellow stork wings flying.
In The lover of French director Jean Jacques Annauth, the scenes reminisced the once glamorous of the colonial Cuu Long delta. Director Annaud brings to the screen a wide range of richly detailed, seductive and realistic portraits of the southwestern region, especially Saigon, Sa Dec, Dong Thap Muoi and Ha Tien.
One of the contexts of the film, the ancient house of Mr Huynh Thuy Le (prototype of the male lead in the novel The Lover) has become a cultural tourist destination that many visitors come to and be introduced by Dong Thap Tourist as one of the main destinations of local tourism.
Or a Saigon of the 50s of the last century, with the beauty of the light up through the lanterns at the tea house, the old rickshaws, the streets... in The Quiet American. Impressive, authentic and emotional is the image of hundreds of buffaloes between floating fields of An Giang land in The Buffalo Boy directed by Nguyen Vo Nghiem Minh.
With 40 photos of famous destinations presented at the exhibition, the Organizing Committee of the V Vietnam International Film Festival hopes that   with the ability to magically transmit through the image of cinema, this will be the fastest way to promote tourism and culture and bring the image of the country and people of Vietnam closer to the national and international audience.
